More quality of life
The S36 Murtal expressway is an important traffic axis in Austria and currently runs from the St. Michael junction (A9/S6) to Judenburg. In order to relieve the villages of transit traffic and to better connect the Murtal region, it was decided to extend the S36 to Scheifling.
In the years 2013 to the end of 2020, the construction of section 2 (TA2) “St. Georgen o. J. to Scheiflinger Ofen” takes place. Construction lot 02, the St. Georgen o. J. underpass, was implemented from 2013 – 2015. In November 2020, the S36 was opened to traffic!
Section 2 has a total length of 7.2 km and runs mainly along the route of the existing B317 state road. Section 1 (TA1) “Extension Judenburg to St. Georgen o. J. ” will close the gap and is currently in the planning phase.
Reliability on all paths
Thomas Lorenz ZT GmbH is continuously on site with 4 employees and supervises the construction measures in construction lot 5. In addition to the construction of underpasses, bridge objects, anchor walls, water protection systems, junctions and the adaptation of the four-lane structure, the Mur was even relocated in one section.
