The shell of the building has been completed – Stroke Unit topping-out ceremony
After a few months of construction, the completed shell of the neurology extension at the University Hospital in Graz is in place. Therefore, the KAGes invited on 03.04.2023 to the Gleichenfeier to celebrate this important milestone according to old tradition with the reading of the Gleichenspruchs duly.
Rd. 3,500 Styrians are affected by strokes every year. The Stroke Unit is designed to provide rapid and effective assistance in such cases. In order to continue to provide this assistance, LKH Graz is expanding its existing acute care unit by around 9 million euros.
After its planned completion in June 2024, the light-filled and functional expansion will have a total of 12 acute care beds and will be equipped with new treatment rooms for various therapies ranging from physiotherapy to occupational therapy to logotherapy. In addition to the addition on the north side, existing areas in the immediate vicinity of the intensive care unit will also be adapted.
For the project management of this project, which will be the largest facility of its kind in Austria when completed, the team of
Thomas Lorenz ZT GmbH
is responsible.
