Garage inspection
Proper structural analysis and planning are essential for buildings, and so is good construction. Particularly in the case of heavily used buildings, it is also important to evaluate the state of preservation on an ongoing basis.
SES Spar European Shopping Centers GmbH commissioned Thomas Lorenz’s team to inspect elevated and underground parking garages. Last week, the structural engineering investigation of the largest shopping center in Carinthia, the ATRIO in Villach, was started. In addition to taking cores, compressive strength measurements were performed, carbonation depths were measured, and the chloride content in the concrete components was surveyed.
