Steel hood for a logistics hall
Combining steel and concrete in buildings is nothing new. But in the case of the high-bay warehouse of Fa. VOG AG in Linz, that was it.
The steel structure of the high-bay warehouse roof, weighing a total of 173 tonnes, was mounted on the precast reinforced concrete structure, which is up to 20 m high.
The profiles were optimised by the Thomas Lorenz team, the connections calculated and then the factory planning drawn up. The assembly could then be completed quickly in only 4 weeks by Metallica Stahl- und Fassadentechnik.
