Site trip, hiking day and office party!
Last week the sunny Friday was used extensively by the TLo team. A construction site excursion to Trieben, a hike and an office party were on the daily schedule!
Our ÖBAler Philipp Premm and Martin Lichtenegger informed in a great lecture about the currently used ongoing general rehabilitation of the approximately 10 km long section Edlach – Trieben- Gaishorn on the A9 Pyhrn freeway. Over a period of 3 years, 9 bridge support structures, the open land areas, the Trieben junction itself and the existing water protection facilities will be renewed on both directional carriageways. The project is a pilot project of ASFINAG and will be handled fully digitally. What many did not know: the section of the route runs through the Trieben Moor. Many supporting structures run only just above the ground, and conventional construction methods were not possible due to the soft subsoil.
This was followed by an exciting round of construction. Among other things, it was possible to view a 60-ton, 30-meter-long prestressed reinforced concrete girder that had to be produced on site at the construction site. This girder was transported to the site on a low-loader in the course of a night closure on Saturday night, even before the originally planned lifting date, and then lifted into place with two cranes.
While the ÖBA staff continued to work diligently, the rest of the TLo team went on a hiking tour from Kaiserau to the Oberst Klinke Hütte, where the day was enjoyed with feast, drink and beautiful weather. While many were enjoying the end of the day, Thomas Lorenz, Roland Reichl, Manfred Grangl and Martin Pramhas had another event in their schedule.
Peter Mandl ZT GmbH, our “neighbor” in the House of Engineers celebrated its 20th anniversary. A successful celebration and a wonderful reason to celebrate! Congratulations to Peter Mandl and his team on this beautiful milestone!
