Retaining wall vs. Construction pit protection
An accommodation facility with 24 residential units, a veterinary practice and an underground car park for 17 parking spaces is currently being built in Grabenstrasse. Thomas Lorenz ZT GmbH is responsible for the general planning of this exciting construction project in the execution phase.
The particular challenge was the existing retaining wall, which will be partially “undermined” by the new building. As a result, a complex construction pit stabilization with anchored underpinning bodies and nailed gunite walls became necessary.
