Lifting passenger walkway for West-Steiermark
The 80-ton steel truss construction for the passenger walkway for Weststeiermark station was lifted in at the new Koralm lift on time at 07:00 in the morning.
A 350 ton crane completed the stroke in just a few minutes. The support points fit precisely on the prepared bearings. The footbridge was designed to be fatigue-proof in order to withstand the wind load of the express trains that will be rushing at speeds of up to 250 km/h from 2025 over its entire service life. Management and work planning of the steel structure was created by Thomas Lorenz ZT GmbH on behalf of ÖBB and Zeman.
