Groundbreaking ceremony New Working World @ AT&S
Yesterday's groundbreaking ceremony marked another milestone for Styria as a business location: On the site of the headquarters in Leoben-Hinterberg, a new office building for around 300 employees is being built under the title "New Working World".
AT&S is one of the global technology leaders in the field of printed circuit boards and IC substrates and has grown enormously worldwide in recent years.
Focus on research and development
The construction became necessary because, in addition to the need for additional production space, offices are also urgently required. CEO Andreas Gerstenmayer was joined by Supervisory Board Chairman Hannes Androsch, Provincial Governor Hermann Schützenhöfer and Provincial Economic Minister Barbara Eibinger-Miedl.
The new four-storey building has a gross floor area of 9,000 m² and will cost around 22 million euros. Thomas Lorenz and his team are responsible for the complete general planning incl. The architecture of the building was designed by Alfred Bramberger. The general contractor services were awarded to the construction companies Östu-Stettin and Strabag.
