Excursion to Lachtal

There we were welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine at Café Hannes, which is the family business of the newly crowned Ski World Champion Nici Schmidhofer. After this warm welcome the lift passes were distributed and the day’s plan was run through again. Blessed with sunshine and blue skies, the skiers were off down the slopes, and the non-skiers started the first run with the sleds. Afterwards, the alternative sports enthusiasts started to hike up the mountain towards the Klosterneuburger Hütte, where the entire team met for lunch. With a bit of snow fall, wind and fog, the team headed back down. In the “Futtertrögl”, everyone warmed up again and enjoyed an ample dinner. Whoever was not yet tired could make use of the privately organised ”sled taxi“ and fly down the slope a couple of times. Following the after-dinner drink at Café Hannes, we left at 10pm towards Graz. Another successful ski, sled and hiking day had come to an end.
