Construction site visit 2018

For this year’s annual construction site excursion, the team from Thomas Lorenz ZT GmbH stayed right at their own house door. The new construction of the KNAPP’s Innovation Centre in Hart bei Graz and the extension of the Magna warehouse in Albersdorf were optimal locations for the half day excursion.

After having breakfast together in the office, it was off with the bus to KNAPP. Following an exciting presentation about Austria’s first fully digital construction project, we took part in an impressive tour of the construction site. Before it continued to the second stop, we stopped for refreshing cold drinks from the TLo site office. We started the tour of the Magna construction site in the “Meeting Container“ with a presentation including a quiz on what we had seen and heard so far. Following this we inspected the extension to the warehouse where a few colleagues with a head for heights trusted themselves up on the 12,000 m² roof. The evening was rounded off with a few drinks together at the guesthouse Wolf. We were served with traditional foods and one or two cool light ales. Due to the evening bad weather, we were forced indoors to eat and drink where there was, luckily for us, also an indoor bowling lane – to which we put to good use.
