‘Today, we build quicker and more cost-effectively’
The civil engineering firm, Thomas Lorenz ZT GmbH, turns 10 years old.
(Graz, September 12th, 2013) ‘Today, the construction period is shorter and we build more cost-effectively,’ that is the bottom-line from Thomas Lorenz, whose civil engineering office, Thomas Lorenz ZT GmbH, celebrates its 10th year anniversary today. Major projects such as the Donau-City Tower, the ÖBB Headquarters in Vienna, the Med Campus and the Styria Media Center in Graz are all currently being realised. ‘What has changed over the course of the years is that we have already worked together with architects during the tender stage of a project so that the realisation of building projects became somewhat easier. It is effortless and cheaper to have the significant, load-bearing elements considered correctly in the architectural drafts than to later try to make the load bearing frame ‘healthy’ retrospectively.’
The 40 employees of Thomas Lorenz ZT GmbH have together completed more than 700 projects over the past 10 years. This was a good reason for the civil engineering office in Graz to celebrate. Over 300 guests from the political, scientific and business sectors accepted the invitation on September 12th
, 2013 at the House of Engineers in Graz, the headquarters of the firm.
‘Styria is traditionally an engineering state. The quality training in tertiary areas is also valued internationally. I am especially pleased when our Styrian competence is not only applied within our very own State, but is also a value-adding export. For this, I congratulate Thomas Lorenz ZT GmbH, “the State Minister Kristina Edlinger-Ploder remarked at the event.
From Idea to Completion
Clients are requesting more and more from a general planner - a single point of contact - that can coordinate all the planning companies. Especially with major projects, there is a special emphasis that the quality as well as the timeline and costs are kept on track. ‘As the central coordinating point, we can guarantee that our clients can realise their plans highly efficiently and cost-effectively with minimal personal effort,’Thomas Lorenz said. ‘It is in this area where we want to even further strengthen in the future and accompany our clients through the entire process from the project idea through to its completion.’
