Office trip to Santa Ponsa, Mallorca

(9/22/2011) On Thursday, September 22nd 2011 at 12.05pm, almost all staff of Thomas Lorenz ZT GmbH took off from Graz airport towards the island of Mallorca. After a two-hour-ride on the plane we arrived in good spirits at Palma de Mallorca airport. From there we went by bus to our hotel 'Rey Don Jaime' in Santa Ponsa.

After having settled into our rooms we, immediately checked out the nearby beach (including beach bar). After a fun-filled afternoon and evening, our tour guide Georg picked us up the next morning at 9.00am and took us on a city trip through Palma. We started our cultural outing at the 'La Plaza Espanya'. We then enjoyed a relaxed coffee in the stylish courtyard of a café in the old city centre of Palma. Apart from the City Hall, the Main Square and an almost 1000-year-old olive tree in the midst of the city, we were shown interesting buildings and the main shopping street. Finally, we visited the amazing Gothic Cathedral in Palma. We spent the afternoon again with great weather and torquise blue sea back at Santa Ponsa beach.

The next day was a bit rainy and hence we changed our program immediately: one part of Thomas Lorenz ZT staff went on a shopping tour through Palma, the second half of the crew went on a special train ride towards Soller in the North - on a train that was built in the beginning of the 20th century. From the train station, we took an electric tram to Soller harbour. The taxi trip back to the hotel had us pass spectacular coast roads and magnificent lookouts.

We spent the last day in Mallorca on the beach enjoying the Mediterranean flair before we eventually set off back home in the evening. At exactly 11.30pm we landed safe and sound at Graz airport.

This office trip once again showed that the Thomas Lorenz ZT GmbH crew is not only professionally a great team but also harmonise very well in private, and, above all, knows how to party.
